A little more about me

I started my career at Vogue and spent 13 years at Elle, mostly as the magazine’s deputy editor, covering the intersection of culture, style, and beauty—and writing some wackadoo first-person adventures and celebrity cover stories along the way. Yes, in a previous life I shared mani-pedis with Megan Fox, Chinese food with SJP, and martial arts training with Jennifer Lawrence (well, that last part I just watched). I had a closet full of dry-clean-only clothes and a job that made me sound like the sidekick in a rom-com. That all changed when my husband and I decamped from New York City to Amherst, MA—beating the pandemic exodus by a couple of years—to raise our two young boys, juggle thirteen different work projects at a time, and do things like compost, hike, and work our way through the Marvel multiverse.
